Katy Perry and Taylor Swift Relationship

If you’ve ever sang to Swift’s Bad Blood, then you’d have an idea of what these two feel about each other. These celebrities initially started out as friends, even posting sweet notes to each other on Twitter. However, in 2012, conflict arose when some of Perry’s dancers were involved in Swift’s Red world tour and these dancers left Swift’s tour before its completion to join Perry’s promo tour for Prism in 2013.

Each new year has since witnessed new shades dropping from the two parties, including Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris, dropping bombs and names on Twitter during their highly-publicized breakup.

Perry went on the Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Special last May 22, and she told James Corden that since she felt that Swift started the feud, she should also be the one to end it. Corden asked the singer is a text would be enough and Perry replied, “100%!”

Perry Says She’s Ready to Let Go

When Huffington sat down with Perry and they talked about this interview with Corden, among others. The podcast host asked the singer if she was ready to let it go, and this is what Perry had to say:

“I am ready to let it go. I forgive her and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her. I think it’s actually like, I think it’s time. There are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world. You know what I’m saying? And I love her, and I want the best for her.

And I think she’s a fantastic songwriter, and I think that, you know, if we, both her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go like, ‘Yeah, well we can do this.’ I don’t know.

Like maybe I don’t agree with everything she does and she doesn’t agree with everything I do, but I just really truly want to come together in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion.

There’s a lot of other things out there in the world that people need to be focused on, and I truly, like, God bless her on her journey. God bless her. Honestly.”

But, to spice things up, Perry released her new album, Witness, and Swift re-releases all her music to all streaming music services on the same day. Katy Perry and Taylor Swift are currently sharing the Spotify front page. So, is the feud really over? We honestly hope so.
