We’re Excited for Instagram Business Bookings!

By  |

The social media giant has just laid out plans for Instagram business bookings and we’re all for it. The perspective of easily booking our favorite beauty providers through their Instagram profiles is indeed worth the buzz.

Last March 22, Instagram celebrated eight million businesses using business profiles on the photo and video sharing platform. With more than one million monthly active advertisers, 80% of Instagrammers are actually following a business today.

Evolving Instagram Business Profiles

Instagram takes this as more motivation moving forward. According to the company, it plans to continue evolving Instagram business profiles. Business owners testify that the social media platform has been most helpful in the growth of their businesses.

“Instagram gave us a chance to grow the business. From the beginning it was a community of fellow moms to help get the word out, then it was buyers tagging us in photos of products they think we’d like for the store, to increasing sales through ads that reach people that were interested but had yet to buy.” (Shari Lott, CEO and Founder of SpearmintLOVE)

Among others, they have introduced insights and Instagram Stories.

“Insights have given us a new perspective on our followers – we thought many were based in the UK but found a significant number are in Hong Kong and Taiwan. We now post our content earlier so we can catch people before they go to bed. As a result, we’ve seen an increase in engagement and sales from those regions, helping us take our business to more people around the world. Since switching to a business profile on Instagram, the number of people contacting us directly has increased; by phone, on email and via direct message.” (Matchaeologist)

Today, we’re excited to announce there are 8 million businesses using business profiles and more than 1 million monthly active advertisers on Instagram. On Instagram, people are turning their passions into livelihoods. To get better at the art of folding paper, Ross Symons, (@white_onrice) set a goal on January 1, 2014 to fold and post a different origami figure for 365 days straight. After successfully achieving his goal and connecting with various Instagrammers along the way, Ross turned his passion from a side project into a business and now creates artwork and installations for brands around the world. “I was able to quit my day job and pursue a career as a creative entrepreneur because of Instagram and the people using it,” he tells us. Ross now uses information from his business tools to inform his content strategy and generate leads. “Based on the information that I gained from my business insights, I noticed that tutorial style or DIY style videos receive more engagement and impressions than normal animations. Also, knowing that most of the people who follow me are from the U.S. has helped me reconsider when to post so I now post closest to when people in the U.S. are waking up which has led to higher engagement and potential leads.” See why Instagram has become an essential place for businesses like Ross’ to grow. Instagram Business Bookings

One new and exciting plan that Instagram intends to roll out later this year is the ability to book a service with a business directly from their profile. Yes, we’ll soon be able to book an appointment with our favorite hair stylist, nail artist, or fashion influencers through their Instagram profiles.

Indeed, Instagram business bookings will be adding a whole new level of convenience to our lives. There’s no denying how excited we are for these changes.
