Girls… VS Buzz about Stopping Sales of Bikinis
For weeks now, the Internet has been a buzz with rumors that Victoria’s Secret will be dropping some of its merchandise after 2016. On May 23, 2016, the company made a statement that makes all these talk official. Sadly, Victoria Secret has confirmed with Glamour that it will no longer sell swimwear, clothing, or accessories.
The company told Glamour that they intend to eliminate non-core businesses so as to better focus their resources on Victoria’s Secret’s core merchandise categories. This means that the company will focus on their three distinct businesses: Victoria’s Secret Lingerie, Victoria’s Secret Beauty, and Pink. VS will be ending their swim line, as well as the sales of shoes, apparel, and accessories on their digital stores. This means that we will no longer be getting bikinis, cover-ups, dresses, blouses, rompers, trousers, sweatpants, and all those spring-break outfits from Victoria’s Secret.

Nonetheless, all the really good (and sexy) stuff that Victoria’s Secret is known for – basically all lingerie and undergarments (bras and panties) – are still available online and at VS stores worldwide. The brand takes pride in creating the world’s best bras and the sexiest lingerie. Sleepwear, fragrances and other merchandise will also still be available.
To appease us ladies grieving over this sad news, here’s the silver lining. Head over to the Victoria’s Secret website where the company is holding an online sale for its summer 2016 swim collection. Swimwear of all styles (bikinis, tankinis, one-pieces, and monokinis) and cover-ups (linen pants, rompers, dresses, tunics, caftans, sweaters, etc.) are available on sale for up to 60% off. Plus, you can take 40% off all regularly priced and already-reduced swim and cover-ups using a discount code found on the website.
