How to Do a Twisted Crown Braid
Are you looking for a classy hairstyle that you can wear throughout a long day? The twisted crown braid can put you through either a casual or formal affair. But the best thing about this hairstyle is that even if it gets messy, you’d still be looking good. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to do a twisted crown braid.
What you’ll need:
- hair brush
- elastic bands
Before you start, brush your hair to remove any tangles. Then, divide your hair into two sections by parting it in the center. Tie one section with an elastic band. Also, keep extra elastic bands on hand as you start braiding.
From the section of your hair that isn’t tied with an elastic band, grab a rectangular clump and twist it thrice, away from your face.
Begin to French braid your hair and keep doing this until you’ve reached all the way down. Make sure there are no bumps. Secure the braid with an elastic band.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the other side.
Once both braids are done, tie them into a ponytail. Secure any loose hairs with a bobby pin.
Take one braid and wrap it around the other. Secure this with a bobby pin and lightly cover with hair spray.
Grab the remaining braid and twist it in the opposite direction. Then, tuck the end into the bun and secure it with a bobby pin. Apply more hairspray.
Voila! Your twisted crown braid is done. Simply use more bobby pins to secure any loose sections or add more hair spray to make this twisted crown braid hairstyle look sleek and clean.
